Cricket

      A game which Origin is from  England. This outdoor game  is now National game of England and Australia. A game after football has world-wide popularity.

 Now-a-days,across the world it's short format are being conducted. Celebrities from Business and Film industries are seen playing the game.

Cricket is a game  in which two teams consists of 11 players each play in a circular ground. Among 11 players their is one man who leads the team known as captain.The rule to win the match is the team which scores more than opposite side team.

After toss ,toss winning captain decides whether to bat or ball. Two players come on pitch to play the game . On both sides of pitch three wickets are embedded at 22 yards distance. Each player stand on each side. A boweler from other side come and throw the ball and batsam decides whether to hit a shot  or play a dot ball. A bowlwer has to throw six balls in an our in specific time.

Pitch is the center of ground 24yards in length and 4 yards in breadth.In the ground a rope is spread considered as boundry line.

Size of equipments

Bat: A bat is 38 and 4.25inches in length and width respectively.

Ball: The ball weight varies between 155.9 and 163 g and its circumference 224 to 229 mm.

Keeper Gloves and other equipments: Keeper gloves should not be of stretchable and rest of other protecting equipments don't have specific measurements.

Terms used in Cricket

Striker: who face the bowler.

Run: To run on pitch from striker end to non striker end.

Four: When ball hits the boundary line by touching or rolling on ground.

Six:When ball directly lands outsy the boundary line .

Formats of Cricket

• Test: In this format match is played for 5 days and each day for 90 overs.Both teams have to play not more then 2 innings.
• ODI: It is 50 overs game .Each team play 50 overs.
• T20: In this each team has to play 20 overs game.
